Lift systems
Systems subject to statutory monitoring, with clear operator duties and long, expensive maintenance contracts.
Lifts are governed by the German industrial safety ordinance: recurring inspections by approved bodies, an emergency call system, a designated responsible person. At the same time, lift maintenance contracts are often long-term and opaque. We check both.
What we look for
- Deadlines for main and interim inspections by the approved body
- Function of emergency call and rescue concept
- Scope and response times in the maintenance contract
- Fault statistics and downtime
- Billing of repairs against the maintenance flat fee
Typical findings
Defects from the statutory inspection not rectified on time
Repairs invoiced that the contract includes in the flat fee
Emergency call system without documented function test
Typical intervals
Regular maintenance per manufacturer specification, interim and main inspections by the approved body at defined intervals.
Indicative values; the specific requirement depends on the system and its use.
Start with a single contract
Send us one maintenance contract with its service reports. You get a written finding and know whether more is worth it.
