Ventilation systems
Hygiene and fire protection meet here. Both are subject to inspection, both are easily neglected.
Ventilation systems must be hygienically sound and must seal safely in the event of fire. We check whether hygiene inspections to VDI 6022 take place, whether fire dampers are tested and whether the maintenance contract covers both at all.
What we look for
- Hygiene inspections and filter changes to VDI 6022
- Function test of fire dampers
- Condition of fans, heat exchangers and ductwork
- Air volumes and control
- Completeness of maintenance records
Typical findings
Fire dampers not tested for years
Filter changes invoiced but not carried out
Hygiene inspection not included in the contract
Typical intervals
Hygiene checks typically every six to twelve months, hygiene inspections every two to three years, fire dampers annually.
Indicative values; the specific requirement depends on the system and its use.
Start with a single contract
Send us one maintenance contract with its service reports. You get a written finding and know whether more is worth it.
